Escort vehicles shall be equipped with one roof mounted amber revolving lamp having a light source that will emit alternating flashes of light which shall be clearly visible from a distance of 492′ in normal daylight. “D” signs shall be displayed on the pilot vehicles front or rear, whichever is applicable.
