Permits

Single trip permits are valid for ten (10) working days.

Weight: Single, tandem, tridum and quad, each case looked at individually

Gross Weight: 150,000 lbs. or more requires an engineering study. No vehicle or combination of vehicles shall be operated on the highways of this state when the gross weight on the road surface through any wheel thereof exceeds 600 lbs. per inch width of tire.

The gross weight allowable shall be governed by the tires and axles, other than the front or steering axles.

Length: 100′ or more will require an engineering study.

Width: 15′ or more requires engineering study

Height: Over 14′ are limited to short distances. The clearance of facilities and general safety of the traveling public are the governing factors in issuing overheight permits.
